Power assisted suitcase ready to roll

When I travel, I usually pack more than I can carry, so I can't wait to see more suitcases like the Power Assisted (PA) suitcase from Live Luggage. This is the world's first power assisted suitcase that comes with motorized wheels, and an Anti-Gravity mechanism that shifts most of the weight inside the suitcase towards the wheels in order to distribute the total weight.

The suitcase won't exactly follow you around as one might think, but it does have a unique torque control system that powers the wheels when the handle is tilted and pressure is applied. If you drop it, power to the wheels is cut off, therefore, you don't have to worry about chasing it down the airport. The handle is height-adjustable so most people, short or tall, are able to use it. There's also a hidden umbrella in front of the handle, which should come in handy during your travels.

The small motor built into the wheels is powered by a 12V NiMH battery pack located inside the base of the case that needs to be charged before you pack, which is why a battery charger and adaptor have been included. The problem then is remembering to charge the battery before you travel. Otherwise, the suitcase will roll like any other suitcase on wheels, which should be just fine as long as it isn't too heavy.

Since anything can happen on the road, the suitcase is tagged with a laser etched serial number in case it gets lost. If someone finds it, all they have to do is contact Live Luggage, who will then alert you through emails and text messages of its location. I think this is a neat idea for travelers, young or old, so I'm hoping this idea goes mainstream soon.

Remember that airlines also charge for bags over a certain weight limit. My regular piece of luggage that I bought at Costco weighs approx. 13 lbs, how much does this weigh with a motor, charger etc..? So you should be able to pack around 10 lbs of items in this piece of luggage?
