Not only is Asus debuting a smartphone soon, but the company is also releasing a Skype-enabled video phone at the end of October. The Asus AiGuru SV1 video phone is completely independent from your computer, so you can make VoIP calls from any room in the house. If you have a computer and a webcam, you obviously don't need one of these bad boys, unless of course, you want the rest of the family to make Skype calls without taking over the family computer.

The device has a 7-inch TFT LCD, a webcam that sits above the display, Wi-Fi, speaker, microphone, and other buttons to manage calls. Sadly, the webcam only has a 640 x 480 resolution, and the battery is only good for twenty minutes per charge which means you'll have to charge the device pretty often. I'm not sure the target audience will appreciate the $300 price tag, but here's to hoping the price drops a little more to make it more appealing.
