Have you ever recycled your phone? Many people have despite their fear of identity theft, and they do so through services like Recellular. The company collected four million phones in 2007, and is expected to collect six million phones by the end of this year which will be either reused or recycled. ReCelluar has even released a list of the top 10 most recycled phones in 2008. Guess what they are?

5. Motorola C139 (2006)
6. LG VX3200 (2004)
7. Samsung A670 (2004)

10. LG VX3300 (2005)

Notice that most handsets were released in 2004, which is surprising since most cell phones have an average lifespan of 18 months. It will be a while before we see iPhones and Blackberry phones on the list though, but that shouldn't discourage your from checking out their inventory if you want to buy a refurbished handset.
