Microsoft has yet to put a hard date on its promised facelift for the Xbox 360 dashboard, but a recent Rock Band 2 ad hints that November might be the big month.

GamePro spotted the Rock Band 2 ad on—where else?—the Xbox dashboard itself, complete with the tagline, "Check out the New Xbox Experience coming in November!"

Microsoft announced the Xbox Live overhaul during E3 back in July—and as Alex wrote at the time, the revamp is pretty drastic, including a top-to-bottom interface redo, customizable avatars, and community features like IM, video chat, and photo swapping. Best of all: streaming Netflix integration, which will allow Netflix subscribers to watch more than 10,000 movies and TV shows for free.

Personally, I can't wait to watch Netflix movies over my 360, although I'm a little concerned about the interface changes—after all, what's so wrong with the current dashboard blades, anyway? (And according to Kotaku, the new interface is mandatory with the upgrade.)

That said, I'm looking forward to the option of installing retail games on the 360's hard drive—another cool feature on tap for the update. No, it's not because I can't be bothered to swap discs, but rather that I'm sick of the high-pitched whine of the Xbox's troublesome DVD drive.

So, you Xbox'ers out there—what features in the new "Xbox Experience" are you most looking forward to? Anyone else wishing that the dashboard blades could stay where they are?
