Despite tripling the number of units available for the G1's October 22 launch date, the carrier has already "sold through them all," although current T-Mobile customers can still place a pre-order.
Given the great anticipation and the heavy pre-sale demand for the T-Mobile G1 with Google, we nearly tripled the number of phones initially available for delivery on our Oct. 22 launch date, and have sold through them all. However, to accommodate additional T-Mobile customers who want to pre-order a device, they now have the opportunity to place a pre-order through Oct. 21, for delivery at a later date.
Also, people can still pre-register on the T-Mobile G1 Web site to be notified prior to launch where they can purchase the device beginning Oct. 22. Details are available on the T-Mobile G1 Web site, www.T-MobileG1.com.

I'm one of those people awaiting the November 10th shipment. I can't WAIT!
get the one and only iphone 3g other cellphone is just a copycat....
I'm just waiting for them to get 3G in my area. No use having that phone if t-mobile doesn't have 3G internet access available yet.
Not me. 1) You cannot record video. the Android SDK does not support it for now. 2) A first release is bound to be buggy. 3) I am waiting until it is free with a 2 yr contract, and has been in the market at least 6 months.
TMobile's phone selection is non-existent,everything they sell is over a year old techwise. Any talk of selling something that is state of the art or of some quality is going to get a buzz
I think you'll be waiting a while before this one is free..lol With this kinda buzz it won't be free until a new version comes out, and even then probably not..pre orders are selling on ebay for Hundreds of dollars. Like it or notr this is a major player. With the software even if it has bugs you will be able to just download upgrades for the phone e.g. Blackberry, so it's not necessary to "hold" off on buying one just because of "bugs".
I'd really like one, but I'm going to wait and see how things work out.
I'm still waiting for the Blackberry storm , iPhone 3G feels trash compared to the Storm . I would definitely trade my iPhone 3G for a Blackberry Storm , hands down .
Already pre-ordered it. It's not an iphone, but it's close, and already being a t-mobile customer, they finally got a phone that I really want, and is cool, so I went ahead and got it.

I'm still in wait for a better network mode personally; whether that means waiting for an unlocked version, or waiting for another carrier to get the G1, depends on how much money I have and how long I'm willing to wait.
