Having trouble with the much-touted glass trackpad on your new MacBook Pro? Turns out you're not the only one, but never fear—help is reportedly on the way, at least according to a terse e-mail from Steve Jobs.

MacRumors reports that a MacBook Pro user complaining about the new trackpads—apparently, some of them are becoming unresponsive every 50 clicks or so, then recovering after about a minute (here's a lengthy thread on Apple's support forum)—sent an e-mail describing the problem to Jobs himself.

The brisk reply: "Software fix coming soon."

That's all unverified, of course, and as usual, Apple has no official comment. That said, Jobs has been known to respond to users before—typically with short, sometimes cryptic answers.

In any case, most of the glass trackpad complaints have been about the new MacBook Pros (which were announced just last month), although AppleInsider notes that some owners of the revamped 13-inch MacBook have noticed the same problem.

So, any new MacBook Pro users out there having trouble with their trackpads? Let us know.
