OK, "Knight Rider" fans, I have some tough news for you. KITT, the catty, often sarcastic and frequently deadly Trans Am from that drove David Hasselhoff into TV history, can't really talk. And it doesn't come with Super Pursuit Mode installed, nor can it drive on water. But the legendary Knight Industry Two Thousand can sit in your driveway for a mere $149,995.
According to
Boing Boing, the KITT Trans Am—or rather, one of four used in the actual filming—is on sale at a used car dealership in Dublin, California. Strangely enough, the car is owned not by Michael Knight, but rather one Tim Russo of Livermore, who (when not chasing crooks, I'm assuming) has been busy
restoring the crime-busting vehicle. Anyway, while KITT can't exactly leap three stories in the air or drive itself—and, according to salesman Johnny "Vette" Verhoek, most of the controls are just dummies—the scanning red light does indeed work. Unfortunately, you won't be able to drive KITT to the mall to impress stunned passers-by; the supercar hasn't passed a smog test in years.

I wish I had $150,000 right now.
