Worried that the youth of America is wasting away in front of a computer screen? Well, consider this: according to a new survey, U.S. adults actually spend way more time surfing than teenagers do.

ya i could and have clocked in 11 hours in 1 day easily 11 hours in a week
thats messed up! teens are online WAY more than that! i am 17 and i know!
yeah i average like 40 hours in a week and im 14
yeah i agree i'm 17 and i can spend 11 hours online in a couple of days
Nielsen is out of touch with reality. I hope no one paid for their survey's results. Laughable.
I can actually buy this. When I was in high school, I rarely got online. School time, homework, football, other sports, girls, parties with friends, driving around when you got your first car... For many (IMO, the majority), this holds true. And it's a good thing! The bad thing is the increase as age increases. And I'm guilty of this, too.
I'm 13... I surpass 11 hours in a day... but then again I'm a computer nerd. No, I'm not (always) just 'chatting' or whatever. I'm a forum nerd on a few book-based fandoms, and I know a healthy amount of internet coding, and I'm trying to teach myself a couple of programming languages as well. So I guess I don't count.
now that it's summer, yeah i go way over 11 hours a month, but even during the school year, 23 minutes a day seems a bit low...and i dont facebook or anything :)
i have recently been online way more then that but you have to remember that adults are at work and are consently on the internet sending emails or whatever while we are at school or studying or doing homework..... so yeah i believe that

11 hours in 1 month?? I'd do that in less than a week. And I play about 2-3 hours of PS3 a day. Ya I have practically no life...
