Know a music-loving, die-hard cyclist who can't stand the thought of losing by a hundredth of a second? Behold the cutting edge in tune-friendly cycling apparel: a skintight bib with an MP3 player woven inside.

Designed by the cycling experts at Pearl Izumi, the MicroSensor MP3 Bib ($500) pedals into the spotlight with the latest in high-tech fabrics (everthing from MicroSensor mesh to "3D Pro Stretch Chamois," whatever that is), along with a 512MB MP3 player sewn into the left shorts leg, complete with Bluetooth and embedded buttons that let you skip tracks and tweak the volume. No, 512MB of MP3 storage won't exactly last you though the entire Tour de France (it's good for about eight hours of music or so), but hey—it's better than losing the race by a hair, right?

sounds like some pretty nice gear for gearheads. I love to ride and take my tunes along, but my cd/mp3 player can be bulky and cumbersom, and has gotten dropped more than once while trying to multitask (ie. changing the disk while trying to watch my environment while doing so. the price may be a bit pricy though. An I tune shuffle is under $100 and that would leave 400 for riding apperell and accessories.

I saw these at interbike last year and i thought wow, i love listening to my tunes when i ride, these are perfect, but when i heard of the price i was like nevermind. the microsensor shorts kick but though, it is definetly worth it if you want to be the only ones on the street with them, and have 500 dollars to spend on bibs. id rather spend the money on some new mavic wheels.
