That's what anti-spam gurus at Google are claiming, according to a recent report, although not all the experts agree.

This may be why: http://www.spamyourenemies.com/ Don't post your email anywhere. Ever.
I've noticed a big drop off every since I installed Norton 360.
Spam guide lines under Thunderbird (linux is what I run, no anti-virus software needed to slow you down) or what have you just put the stuff in the spam or junk folder and who cares after that. If you wish to look you can, it's not thrown in you face needlessly like the spam providers wish. After x number of days it goes in to the bit bucket who cares?
Depends on which email account I am talking about. For some email accounts, the amount of spam I am getting is approaching zero. For others, I am getting several thousand a day. For one, I am getting specific spam emails - hundreds a day - all from those wonderful Nigerian spammers who want me to pick up my inheritances. I never knew I had so many dead relatives! If I actually got all that cash, I might be able to float the national debt...
I pray the anti-spam gods to banish all spammers. More spam? You can bet your ya-ya's there's more!! The short list: Viagra, rolex watches, pharmacy specials, community druggists, medicinal remedies, best low-priced software, I won the Lottery, dead Nigerian relative's inheritances, diamonds for less and of course---bigger manhood, enhanced manhood or megadiks!!! May the gods be merciful to us all...
I have much less "spam" since I adjusted some of my things in delete, spam-filter, etc. I used to get 20 to 30 a day, now I usually "inherit" money once a week, have "pharmacy" one or two every other day, & UK lottery a couple times a week. I did invest in Norton Anti-virus,that offered many other things , to fight all this actual "terrible internet" crime going on. "Snopes" has helped me, by checking in occasionally to see what it has to say. Being a novice at all this, I am still a "pidgeon"
Don't ever forget about the "natural farm girls exploits" - get those every day. Creepy.
I thought I imagined it when yesterday when I logged on to Yahoo and only saw 33 messages in my Spam folder instead of 100 - 200. Today was the same. I got under 100 in the Spam folder instead of hundreds! I can't believe it!!!
Since AT&T/Yahoo upgraded their spam filtering system some time around 3/24/2008, the spam in my "Bulk" folder has dropped from around 100 items a day to near zero. The only trouble is that they are throwing away a lot of my legitimate mail. Under the old system, I could retrieve false positives (i.e. legitimate mail) from the Bulk filter. The new system takes it upon itself to decide what is legitimate. I normally receive many emails from Japan. It seems that about half of these are now being thrown away by the new filters, with no notification either to me or to the sender. It is turning into a major headache.
