Looking to add some high-definition viewing without taking a second mortgage? Check out this Vizio 32-inch LCD. The single most compelling feature on this set is the price; it's significantly cheaper than the rest of the competition. (current prices).

PCWorld lists the Vizio 32-inch set in its top five list of 32 inch models.

This Vizio sports 1080i resolution—not the highest of high definition, but  reviews of the set report decent video quality. If you are a high-end videophile, this is not the set for you, but for the rest of us, it's a great bang for your buck, and you can find this "shopping-cart set" at your local Sam's Club or Costco.

    This just seems like an advertizement for Vizio. No comparison between other "bargain HDTV's" and there is a lack of comparison between higher priced models. I was hoping that this would of said what kind of quality you get for the cheap price but all you get is an advertizement. I first bought a cheap brand (first westinghouse then vizio). Then i put it next to my friends sony 32in. LCD and was sad to see that my picture looked washed out compared to one that was about 300 more than what i paid. Needless to say, after i saw that, i returned my cheap tv for one that was only 275 more than what i origionaly paid and got much better picture and features for the slightly higher cost. I recomend that if anyone is thinking about purchasing the bargain brands, to look at them side by side with other models from middle and high end versions. You will be blown away at the diffrence between them. When it comes to LCD HDTV's you really do get what you pay for.

    What they didn't tell you is that Vizio is THE single most repaired television brand on the market today.

    "This Vizio sports 1080i resolution" That is incorrect. LCD TVs are progressive by nature, they are not interlaced. The Vizio you reviewed has a native resolution of 1366x768 like most 32" LCD TV's. 1366x768 is slight higher then 720p (1280x720) and lower then 1080p (1920x1080). However at 32" , the resolution is fine. The TV accepts 720p and 1080i resolutions and scales them to the panels native resolution of 1366x768.

    I prefer to invest in the companies that you know are going to be around, they are usually dedicated to quality products.

    What they didn't tell you is that Vizio is THE single most repaired television brand on the market today. ________________________________________________________ Maybe that is because they are now the #1 selling brand for LCD/plasma as of 8/07 according to the industry trade mags. More sales just means more repairs. All the reviews I have seen for Vizio from customers have been very positive.

    Vizio is a fine brand have the 50" plasma, works great. However this 32" LCD is very poor. The HD picture quality is great but the regular channels are grey and foggy on about 25% of the channels, just depending on the darkness........It is having severe problems with the Black and White shades........I am taking back to costco tomorrow to just get a plasma or a different brand LCD.....I DO NOT RECOMMEND the LCD, PLASMA VIZIO IS GREAT.

    Anyone wishing to purchase a giant TV now should be informed that LCD and Plasma are now rapidly on the way out. New technology has been released, Laser TV, is expected to be the "Plasma Killer" and is way better than either Plasma or LCD. LaserVue Televisions are now available in two sizes starting at 65" and the picture is far superior to other televisions. Be informed that Laser Televisions have fewer, cheaper, parts and prices, which are high now due to being scarce, will drop over time. Plasma and LCD should be completely obsolete in another 18 months or so, except for tiny screen sizes. For more information, look up LaserVue on the WWW or just search for Laser Television.
